Mercury Detoxification Program – Mercury Detox Diet and Symptoms

Mercury is one of the worst poisons on earth. It is a toxin that is more dangerous than lead and even arsenic. Although many metals are present in our body, they are there for a reason. For example, magnesium helps with building bones, releasing energy from muscles and manufacturing proteins. However, this is not the case for magnesium. Our body has totally no need for mercury.

Although our body has the ability to remove mercury naturally, it might not be sufficient. The antioxidant that helps us remove mercury from our body gets depleted along with time. As a result, our body will be unable to remove mercury naturally. This causes mercury poisoning that can cause serious health problems. Let us take a look at how a mercury detoxification program can help you with the removal of mercury.

Firstly, change your diet. Our diet is what brings about most of the toxins that are in our bodies. Avoid sugar, milk, processed foods and grains. During the period of mercury detoxification, you should also ensure that you consume protein rich diets. Protein rich diets are found to be effective for mercury detox. High amounts of proteins can be found from daily food such as eggs, lean meat and chicken breast. If you are unable to whip up a protein rich meal, you can consider taking whey protein as a form of protein supplement. Do not allow autistic children to take whey protein as it contains casein.

Next, you should take herbs such as garlic and green tea. These herbs are capable of helping you flush mercury toxins from your body. Chopped garlic can be included in your meal as a spice.

As mentioned earlier in this article, antioxidants are capable of removing mercury toxins from our body. However, they get depleted easily during the process. Boost the amount of antioxidants in your body by taking in vitamins A and C. To make things simple, you should include fresh fruits and vegetables in your meals. Fruits of the citric family such as lemons and oranges are high in vitamin C. If you are still unaware, vitamin C is an antioxidant that helps with the flushing of metal toxins.

Lastly, you should include the correct fats into your diet. Fats help your body increase its capability of mercury detoxification. One type of fat that I highly recommend would be the omega 3 fatty acid. Include some healthy fats from unprocessed foods such as organic eggs and meat. A successful mercury detoxification program will rid your body of mercury and many other toxins at the same time.
